For Steel Plate & Fabricated Component Protection (Temporary Corrosion Protection)
Toyo-G TLMW Series – Anti-Rust Oil (AR)
Application: Steel plate storage (indoor and outdoor), cut edges, welded assemblies, finished blocks waiting for painting, machinery surfaces during transport.
Why it works: Leaves a thin, oily protective film that prevents rust formation. Easy to apply (spray, dip, or brush). Removable with alkaline cleaners or degreasers before painting or welding. Contains polar additives that adhere to metal surfaces. Film thickness can be selected based on required protection duration (short-term indoor to long-term outdoor).
Key Variants (if available):
Light grade: Short-term indoor protection (up to 3 months).
Medium grade: Outdoor protection (3-6 months).
Heavy grade: Long-term outdoor / marine atmosphere (6-12+ months).
Benefit: Prevents scale and pitting. Reduces surface preparation costs before coating. Protects investment during long construction cycles.
Critical advice to shipyards: Many yards under-estimate corrosion during block storage. A 100drum of anti−rust oil can prevent 100drumofanti−rustoilcanprevent10,000 of rework.
For Shipyard Crane Wire Ropes (Goliath Cranes, Crawler Cranes, Overhead Cranes)
Toyo-G TLI Series – Wire Rope Lubricant (WR)
Application: Goliath gantry crane hoist and trolley ropes, crawler crane ropes, overhead crane ropes, floating crane ropes.
Why it works: Deep penetration – reaches the wire rope core where internal corrosion starts. Excellentadhesion – does not fling off at high line speeds. Outstanding corrosion protection for marine atmosphere (salt spray resistance). Contains EP additives for rope-to-sheave and rope-to-drum contact.
Resists water washout (rain).
Benefit: Extends wire rope life significantly (20-50%). Reduces crane downtime for rope replacement.
Improves lifting safety.
For Hydraulic Systems (Plate Bending Presses, Forming Machines, Outfitting Equipment)
Toyo-G TLI Series – Hydraulic Oil – High Anti-Wear (HO AWS)
Application: Plate bending rolls (3-roll and 4-roll), plate shears, press brakes, hydraulic presses, CNC profile cutters, hydraulic lifting equipment, dock levelers.
Why it works: High anti-wear (AWS) protection – extends pump and valve life in continuous-duty hydraulic systems. Excellent thermal stability – resists breakdown under high-pressure, high-cycle operation. Good water separability (important if water ingress occurs). Excellent filterability – compatible with fine filtration systems. Good oxidation stability.
Key Specifications: ISO viscosity grades 32, 46, 68 (46 is most common for shipyard hydraulic systems). Meets or exceeds major hydraulic pump OEM requirements (Vickers, Denison, Rexroth).
Benefit: Reduces hydraulic system failures during production. Minimizes downtime for valve or pump replacement. Extends hydraulic fluid life.
For Crane & Heavy Lift Bearings (Critical Lifting Equipment)
Toyo-G EAJ Series – Lithium Complex Grease
Application: Goliath crane wheel bearings, trolley wheel bearings, hook block sheave bearings, crawler crane track rollers and idlers.
Why it works: Excellent water resistance – survives outdoor exposure and rain. Good extreme pressure (EP) properties for heavily loaded bearings. Good mechanical stability – stays in place under vibration. Good corrosion protection. Wide operating temperature range.
Benefit: Protects critical lifting equipment bearings. Reduces regreasing frequency. Improves lifting safety.
Toyo-G EAJ Series – Calcium Sulfonate Complex Grease (For Extreme Loads or Wet Conditions)
Application: Crawler crane undercarriage pins and bushings, floating crane slewing rings, heavy-load hook block bearings.
Why it works: Superior water resistance – even better than lithium complex. Outstanding extreme pressure (EP) – handles shock loads during heavy lifts. Excellent corrosion protection for marine atmosphere. High dropping point (260°C+).

For General Shipyard Equipment

Toyo-G EAJ Series – Lithium Complex Grease
Application: Forklift mast bearings and pivot pins, manlift boom pins, conveyor bearings (plate handling lines), workshop machine tool bearings (lathes, milling machines).
Why it works: Good water resistance (indoor/outdoor). Good EP protection. Good mechanical stability. Good corrosion protection. General-purpose – reduces grease inventory.
Benefit: A single general-purpose grease for most yard equipment. Simplifies maintenance.
Toyo-G TLI Series – Industrial Gear Oil (IGO / IGBO)
Application: Crawler crane swing gearboxes, goliath crane travel gearboxes, conveyor gearboxes (plate handling), crane hoist gearboxes.
Why it works: Excellent extreme pressure (EP) and anti-wear protection. Good thermal stability. Good rust and corrosion protection. Demulsible (water separating).
Benefit: Protects gearboxes in outdoor, intermittent-duty applications. Extends gear and bearing life.
For Equipment Commissioning & Sea Trials (First Fill)
Toyo-G TLHD Series – Marine Oil (MEO)
Application: Initial fill for auxiliary engines on newly constructed vessels (during outfitting and sea trials). Generator sets, fire pumps, emergency generators.
Why it works: Formulated for medium-speed diesel engines. High alkalinity (TBN) for sulfur fuel protection (if running on marine gas oil or diesel). Excellent detergent and dispersant properties. Good oxidation stability.
Benefit: Proper break-in and initial protection for new marine engines. Reliable operation during critical sea trials.
Toyo-G TLI Series – Turbine Oil (TBO)
Application: Initial fill for steam turbine systems (if vessel has steam turbine generators or main propulsion turbines – e.g., LNG carriers, some naval vessels).
Why it works: Excellent oxidation stability. Outstanding demulsibility (water separation). Good rust and corrosion protection. Good air release properties.
Benefit: Protects new turbine systems during commissioning.
