For Pumps, Valves, & Seals (Chemical Exposure Areas)

Toyo-G SO Series – Silicone Grease & Silicone Oil

Application: Valve stems, pump mechanical seal O-rings, instrument fittings, pressure gauge connections, flange seals.

Why it works: Chemically inert and resistant to many aggressive chemicals (acids, bases, solvents). Excellent elastomer compatibility – does not cause swelling or shrinkage of common seal materials (Viton, EPDM, NBR, PTFE). Wide temperature range (-40°C to 200°C+).

Benefit: Protects seals and valves from chemical attack. Prevents leaks and emissions. Reduces fugitive emissions (VOC leaks).

Critical note for your team: Many chemical plants have had seal failures caused by incompatible lubricants. Silicone lubricants (SO Series) are often the safest choice where chemical compatibility is unknown. But always verify with elastomer compatibility chart.

For High-Temperature Heat Transfer Systems (Reactors, Reboilers, Heaters)

Toyo-G TLI Series – Heat Transfer Oil (HTO)

Application: Jacketed reactors, reboilers, distillation column reboilers, thermal fluid heaters, storage tank heating coils.

Why it works: Excellent thermal stability – resists coking and sludge formation at high operating temperatures (up to 320°C+ in closed systems). High flash point for safety. Low viscosity at low temperatures for easy start-up. Extended fluid life.

Toyo-G TLI Series – Compressor Oil (CO)

Application: Reciprocating and rotary screw compressors handling hydrocarbon gases, hydrogen, ethylene, propylene, natural gas, and other process gases.

Why it works: Excellent deposit control – minimizes carbon and varnish formation on hot valves, pistons, and discharge lines. Good chemical stability in gas environments. Good water separability. Extended oil drain intervals.

Toyo-G EAJ Series – Aluminium Complex Grease

Application: Centrifugal pump bearings, compressor bearings, blower bearings, fan bearings, agitator bearings (top entry mixers).

Why it works: High dropping point (260°C+) for high-temperature applications. Excellent water resistance – survives chemical washdowns and plant cleaning. Outstanding corrosion protection against humidity and mild chemical exposure. Good extreme pressure (EP) properties.
